Premier Guitar‘s Chris Kies recently caught up with Soundgarden and the band’s guitar and bass techs to discuss the gear the grunge legends are using live on their King Animal tour.
In the clip below, Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil discusses finding his go-to Guild guitar at age 19, and also demonstrates his go-to effect combinations.
Back in November, Soundgarden participated in a SiriusXM Town Hall session, where the grunge pioneers performed several songs off their latest album King Animal and took questions from fans.
The event was held in New York at the historic Electric Lady Studios, and Soundgarden even treated those in attendance with a gem from their back catalog in Badmotorfinger‘s “Rusty Cage.” Continue reading
