Teja Gerken of Acoustic Guitar put a Guild 1512E through the paces in the May issue of the magazine.
Noting that the guitar has excellent materials and craftsmanship, a contemporary feel, and a smooth tone, Gerken had a lot of positive things to say about the GAD Series instrument.
“Overall, the Guild F-1512E is an impressive instrument,” he noted. ”Whether you’ve always wanted a Guild jumbo 12-string but couldn’t afford a US-made version or are simply looking to buy a great 12-string regardless of brand or price, this is an axe worth checking out.”

Acoustic Guitar has posted an online review of our Guild F-1512E guitar, breaking down its specs, history, designs, feel, tone and playability.
“Overall, the Guild F-1512E is an impressive instrument,” sums up AG. “Whether you’ve always wanted a Guild jumbo 12-string but couldn’t afford a US-made version or are simply looking to buy a great 12-string regardless of brand or price, this is an ax worth checking out.”
Acoustic Guitar magazine features a review of the Guild F-30CE Standard guitar in its September issue.
“It is evident that great care was taken in the making of our F-30CE, a product of Guild’s New Hartford, Conn., production facility, which has been in operation since 2008,” notes reviewer Adam Perlmutter. “The gloss finish on the body is perfectly applied and buffed, and the neck’s satin finish is similarly well executed. The frets are impeccably crowned and polished, and the bone nut and saddle cleanly cut, precluding the adjustments commonly needed to make a brand new guitar more playable. A peek inside the guitar reveals no hint of laziness, either; the bracing and kerfing are smoothly sanded and undetectably glued.”
The review also includes a breakdown of its sound, playability and D-TAR® Wave-Length™ electronics. AG‘s review concludes with:
“It has a superb, balanced tone when fingerpicked and works nicely for strumming as well. A great-sounding electronics package makes this fine guitar even more of a winner.”
