The modern 12-fret! 12-fret neck-joint acoustic guitars have long been the instrument of choice for sonic purists, but the slotted headstock common on these guitars often made for a vexing tuning experience. Our GAD-F40P model has an original grand orchestra-style body, based on the 1955 F-40 Valencia body shape, with a 12th-fret neck-joint and a solid headstock. So now you can enjoy all of the sonic benefits of the 12-fret neck-joint design without the restringing and tuning hassles associated with a slotted headstock.
Other features include a 16” lower bout, solid Sitka spruce top, solid African padauk back and sides, Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, 1 ¾” bone nut, bone saddle, ebony bridge pins, and wood binding. Available in Natural (821).
