2008 was the year things fell into place for Kristian Anttila. His third album “Lille Napoleon” (EMI Music) and the single “Smutser” had just hit the charts. The artist from Gothenburg/Sweden was once again praised for his sound and trademark: Catchy melodies, captivating beats and strangely enough, extremely dark lyrics. “Sunny doomsday-pop” as it came to be called.

Kristian has always written, produced and recorded his own music as well as playing most of the instruments. However, this time his music was found and loved by a greater crowd and from there, things just moved on. The album “Svenska Tjejer” (Universal Music 2010) included a duet with 65-year old singer Sylvia Vrethammar which became a massive hit. “Djur & Människor” (National 2012) was praised for its beauty and productions skills and to this day Kristian has written thirteen top 20 Radio hits in total.

He has become famous for his energetic and memorable live shows and besides touring Sweden his music has taken him around Europe, Asia and South America constantly reaching bigger audiences.

His way of playing with antitheses and contradictions have both confused and fascinated people. There’s been “ We hate Kristian Anttila!”-groups as well as hundreds of devote fan whom wearing his lyrics as tattoos. As diverse the person, as diverse the reactions.

He stirs up things in us and regards of the reactions he invited you to share the ride.
